25–26 Nov 2025 | IUST, Awantipur (J&K) — Dr Rajan Kotru delivered a lecture at a training workshop on Climate Change Adaptation & Disaster Risk Reduction, focusing on regional cooperation in the Himalayas and outcome-oriented stakeholder dialogues.
4–7 Nov 2025 | ICIMOD, Kathmandu — Participated in the First Authors’ Meeting on rangelands and pastoralism in the Hindu Kush Himalaya, contributing as co-author on transboundary issues and regional cooperation (Chapter 13).
29 Sep 2025 | IKS Webinar Series, Rewa (M.P.) — Presented on the cultural heritage of Himalayan agro-ecological practices and how preserving and strengthening them can serve as nature-based solutions for climate and non-climate risks.
19 Sep 2025 | SYMRESEARCH 2.0 (Symbiosis University) — Presented on building resilience of Himalayan agro-ecological practices to sustain local food systems, highlighting nutrition and resilience benefits for mountain communities.
Aug–Sep 2025 | 2045 VISION (HIPA-CSE, with GIZ support) — Contributed to working groups (including infrastructure/disaster risk prevention and tourism) shaping a 20-year roadmap for sustainable economic self-reliance.
Aug–Sep 2025 | Tripura Forest Sector Strategy — Facilitated the launch of consultations to develop Tripura’s first Forest Sector Strategy, convening policymakers, local communities, and experts to shape a long-term resilience and biodiversity agenda.
26–27 Sep 2025 | SMDS XII, Doon University (Dehradun) — At the Sustainable Mountain Development Summit, Dr Kotru led a session on biodiversity and agro-ecology in disaster-prone Himalaya, focusing on livelihoods and food/nutrition security.
22 Mar 2025 | World Water Day, Kashmir University — Keynote webinar on “Pivoting Towards Sustainable Himalayas and Water Security in India,” sharing recommendations and nature-based solutions for water conservation and management.
8 Nov 2024 | School of Planning and Architecture — Presented on Himalayan perspectives on cultural ecosystem services and their role in climate resilience building, as part of a conference on rejuvenating indigenous traditions.
